If you have a question that is not answered here, or you’d like to discuss any aspect of your website development just contact us to discuss your requirements.

How long will it take for my website to be designed?
This is usually dictated by you.  The most common delay in the creation and completion of a new website is waiting for client content (text/images) to be sent to us.  If you have a deadline, we’ll work to meet it.
Will we need to have a meeting in connection with the website design?
Although you might like this (which is fine), in the majority of cases a physical meeting isn't necessary as most websites are generally completed with contact via email and telephone.  We place suggested website designs onto the Internet in a private place where only you and us can view the content.  We then liaise with you regularly to discuss the project to ensure the design and functionality is exactly as you wish.
Once my website design is completed -what after-sales service do you offer?
We fully support any website we design if this is what you want (some clients like to maintain their own website once it’s been developed).  If you do want our maintenance service, we are always available should you encounter any problems or require any enhancements.  We offer website maintenance so that your site never gets stale.
Do I have to keep my website with you forever, or can I move it to another supplier to host it if I wish?
You may move your website to another web hosting service at any time. Once your website design has been completed, we send you a copy of the website on CD.  This copy of your website is for your retention.
In what format should I supply words and photographs about my business for my new website?
It is helpful to us if you are able to provide text and photographs in electronic form - for example, the files output by a digital camera and the words in MS word or similar format.  If this is not possible, we can help get your information ready for use on the website.
Will my website design be" Search Engine" friendly?
All our websites are created with search engines in mind and the website design is compliant with search engine guidelines.  It is a good idea for your website to be re-evaluated periodically as the search engines (such as Google) do alter their rules and algorithms and you will want to be certain that your website is kept up to date and complies with new rules so it can be found.

How to choose which web designer to design my website?  Why choose FreshThink Design?

There are thousands of providers to choose from with hugely varying abilities and quality control.  It helps for you to do a little homework and visit some of the sites that have been designed by the company you are evaluating.  This way you can see whether you like their work.  ÓrlaCait Design has a 100% client satisfaction record and is willing to give you client referees to speak to if you would like to discuss their experience working with us.
I run a small/medium size business and want an online presence to promote my business in a professional manner to new customers and to provide a more professional image to existing customers.  What do I need to achieve this?
You need a professionally developed website, a domain name, and hosting facilities for your website.  You also need the website to be uploaded onto your hosting facilities and promoted to the search engines.
If I choose FreshThink Design can I be sure that my webpages are "Search Engine Friendly"?
Yes.  You can even add your own search engine meta tags to each individual web page if desired.
I hear that there are hidden costs associated with web design services.  Is this true?

NOT with FreshThink Design.  We discuss your website requirements with you, quote accordingly based on these requirements and agree a price.  Once you have placed your order that agreed price is final.
How do I update my website?

There are many different methods which can be used to update websites. The method you choose and the functionality we build into your website design is solely up to yourself although of course we will be glad to advise you which method will suit your needs.

  • If you have a small website consisting of just a few pages and will only wish to make changes very infrequently, then usually it is more cost effective simply to ask FreshThink Design to carry out these changes for you.  Other methods which are frequently chosen are largely dependent upon how much data or information and pictures you have and how you store this information at present.

  • Alternatively, you can buy your own software license directly from Incomedia WebsiteX5 (the software we use) and maintain the site yourself once it has been uploaded to the internet.

There is a preferred solution for every client type.
Am I tied into FreshThink Design for any site maintenance or updates I wish to do once my website is designed?
No.  Once your website is designed it belongs to you and you can commission anyone to update it for you (although we’d like to think that you are very happy with our services and will continue to want to use us for your website maintenance).
Will everyone see my website the same?

Your website visitors will see some things differently depending on their browser, screen resolution setting and their individual computer settings and toolbars.  We design sites with that in mind and preview them in several browser types and resolution settings before publishing.  Obviously as technology further develops websites may need reevaluation.
Do you guarantee that my site will always be available?
No web hosting service can guarantee 100% uptime.  However we have had 100% up time for many years.  Should our servers ever have a problem we do have the necessary backups in place to deal with this issue very speedily.  We only use the most reliable global hosting service providers in the market.
Do you use Flash animation in your website design?
Yes.  We do use flash as and when required.  It is important to note that there are times when flash animations can be an asset but it would be unwise to use "flash" to create an entire website or even entire pages of your website as search engines are not able to read the content of flash and therefore any words used in animations will not be indexed by the search engines.
Can I get e-mail with my website?
Yes.  You can have email and you will probably want to set up several email addresses e.g. sales@your-domain.com, info@your-domain.com, john.smith@your-domain.com etc.
Can I see how many visitors I've had to my website?
Yes.  We use Google Analytics which records where your visitors are coming from and which pages they looked at, which phrases are being typed into which search engines and many more interesting web tracking facts which you should find useful for future marketing campaigns.
Do I need to install any software?

No – unless you want to maintain the site yourself once it is developed in which case you will need to buy a license for the software (circa €70)

Can I have an e-commerce system for my website?

Yes you can. We have Secure Servers (SSL) which use the latest encryption methods to ensure that your customers can buy from you website knowing that the information they enter is secure and safe.  If you wish your customers' payments to be "cleared on line" we can interface to Paypal.

When can I update my website content?

If the website we have designed for you includes a Content Management System then you can access your administration areas using the WebsiteX5 software you have installed and make updates instantly as frequently as you wish.  If your website is a smaller website and you don't have any office-type skills (or don’t want to!), then we can update the website for you.  Our charges are very reasonable.
Is there any training provided with WebsiteX5?
This external web development software has its own training manual, help site and is highly intuitive to use.  ÓrlaCait Design will help you navigate your website so you know how to make basic updates (such as replacing/adding photos, updating wording/attachments, approving guestbook/blog comments etc.).  You can decide how independent you want to be and in which ways.
How much will a website cost me?
The cost of a web site varies depending on the site and complexity. A small website with just a few static pages would cost around €200 whereas a full ecommerce website with a large number of pages could cost anywhere between €800 and €3,000. If you give us a call we will be pleased to discuss your website design requirements and give you a fixed price quotation.
How can I accept credit cards on my website?
By using PayPal.
How many pages can I have on my web site?
As many as you like.  From a search engine’s point of view, the more the better!
I already have a website and I need it updated.  Can you help me?
Yes.  We would be happy to look at your existing website and give you a quote for updating it.

Do you display any banners or pop-up ads on my website?

What if I do not like the design?
We’ll work with you to create a design you do really like.

Will I find my website on the search engines?

Yes.  We design websites to be search engine friendly.
Once my website design is completed can you provide web hosting?
Yes – we use www.godaddy.com and pass these costs to you without adding any middle-man fees.  We can also utilise the hosting company of your choice if you require (particularly for .ie domains as godaddy does not support .ie).

Can I have a professional email address?
Does your email address look professional?  Some companies have still not realised how important their email communications are.  Your email address may actually be more important to your image than your logo, letterhead or business cards combined!  A professional e-mail address is defined as one that:

  • represents and reflects the professional interests of the owner of the e-mail address itself

  • forms a part of how individuals or organisations actively market their products, services, skills, or professional objectives

  • communicates useful, and meaningful information about the owner or user of the email address

Gmail, Yahoo, Eircom etc email addresses are great but should be kept for personal use, using your business email address containing the name of your business or organisation eg "name@companyname.com" or "sales@companyname.com" etc. for your business.  Messages to your business email address can be automatically forwarded to your preferred personal address so you know you've got a message.
